The novel "Freak the Mighty" by Rodman Philbrick was written in first person point of view. It is very important that this novel is written in first person because we knew what the main character's feelings, thoughts, etc. First person point of view enhanced the story because the reader knew what was going on with the main character which is Max. Also, it improved the story because we knew what he feels about his dad, freak, and other characters and we knew his actions. If this story is told in different point-of-view, the story would be different and it would be another story and we wouldn't know that much about Max like we do in this novel. If this is not first person point of view it would change the main focus and it would also change the theme of the story. If it was told from third person point of view it would be way different. There is third person omniscient and third person limited. If this story is told from third person omniscient, we would know every characters thoughts. If it was told from third person limited we would only know one person's thoughts etc. Though, it depends what kind of third person the author is using because it would be way different than first person point of view. This is because we would learn more about the other characters and their thoughts, feelings, etc. and the theme and the moral lesson would be different.
